UgroShore is 241 acres of scenic land located on the west side of Kolia Bhumura Bridge island in the lap of Brahmaputra River. Taken up as a shore tourism project, with the help of Assam Tourism Development Corporation, Guwahati, this unique initiative is aimed to help tourists reconnect with nature and also help the local communities showcase their culture & handloom products in the campsite itself. It is home to wild animals such as buffaloes, wild pigs, deers etc. In order to not disturb the ecosystem of the Island, they try to maintain safe distance from the animals so that they don't feel threatened by the presence of humans as they are not used to it. So, there are protocols to be followed while fully experiencing the wild.
